To mitigate this issue, it is recommended that the UPDATES folder be copied to the hard drive before starting the install process, to avoid the possibility of read errors or performance issues impacting the installation while running from CDROM. 2#The current directory in MS-DOS must be switched to the UPDATES folder in order for INSTALL to locate each update package correctly. Windows Explorer automatically sets the current directory to the UPDATES folder when launching the installer by double-clicking INSTALL.BAT, however when launching INSTALL from within an MS-DOS Prompt, the working directory must be changed to the UPDATES folder before launching the installer: CD PATH\TO\UPDATES INSTALL 3# Windows Updates Q247177 & Q270063 are missing as i was not able to acquire the update files online. # SPECIAL THANKS This version of the Update CD was customized from the original Windows Me Version 2.2 by "micbr" on archive.org (https://archive.org/details/wmeupd-r2).
